    Description

Vintage original 8x10 in. US single-weight glossy photograph
    from the multi-Academy Award-winning 1940's war drama/romance,
    MRS. MINIVER
    , released in 1942 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer(MGM) and
    directed by William Wyler
. Co-starring Greer Garson and Walter Pidgeon, a British family struggles to survive the first few months of World War II.
The image features an interior medium shot of Mr. Ballard
    (Henry Travers
) as he shows a rose to Mrs. Miniver (
    Greer Garson
), which he has named after her in her honor. The photograph features Mr. Ballard's line of dialogue, which is quite unusual and interesting. Printed on single-weight stock with a glossy finish, this vintage original photograph is in near-fine condition with some scattered creases in the borders and image area and a 0.5 in. horizontal tear near the bottom of the right border.
    Mrs. Miniver
swept the Academy Awards and won Oscars for "Best Picture," "Best Director" (William Wyler), "Best Actress (Greer Garson), "Best Supporting Actress" (Teresa Wright), "Best Cinematography" (Joseph Ruttenberg) and "Best Screenplay" (George Froeschel, James Hilton, Claude West, Arthur Wimperis).
