Description
Up for auction is the following lot of items from M.W. Glidden.1) Eleven (11) M.W. Glidden original, single-sided, typed manuscripts from the 1930's - 1940's

Outlet Book Company contract for her story, “Death Strikes Home”
3) Avon
Publications rejection letter for her story, “Death in Laughter”.
All items are in good condition considering their age: yellowing of the paper, some creases, some small rips, some rust marks from paper clips (paper clips are removed), and the first page of "Sweet Trail of Death" is ripped in half. All manuscripts are complete except for one (see note below).

Minna Wesselhoeft Glidden, known in the publishing world as M.W. Glidden, wrote pulp fiction stories in the 1930's and 1940's. Two of her works were published in 1937 by Phoenix Press: "Death Strikes Home" and "The Long Island Murders". Those works are mentioned in the annotated crime fiction bibliography of the Lending Library Publishers, "Murder at 3 Cents a Day", by William F. Deeck.
