This lot is for a real photo postcard showing a view from Minden, Nebraska in 1909. Pictured is Bert Taylor (convict), Sheriff Ace Ransom, and J. Slack Deputy at Kearney County Courthouse (in Minden) c1909. The card was mailed in 1909. Portion of the short message on back reads: "Picture taken at Minden just before leaving for Lincoln after the trial". Taylor was convicted for murder and received at the Nebraska Department of Corrections at Lincoln, Nebraska on June 5th, 1909 and executed (hung) by the State of Nebraska Oct. 28, 1910 for the murder of his Wife.  Execution, Murderer, social history.
