    Description

    This is an Antique Japanese Banko Ware Nodder.
    The nodder depicts a smiling Japanese man with dimples and sparkling eyes.
    His queue is turned up on a partially shaved head.
    The counterweight is pear shaped and cannot be removed because it is molded into one
    piece with the head.
    The nodder was acquired from the Hilma Irtz Estate.
    The piece is 7 ¾” tall, 6” deep, and 6 ¼” across.
    It is in excellent aged condition.
