Antique Fisher Weighted Sterling Silver Candlesticks with red glass hurricanes.
Beautiful pre-owned condition. One hurricane has a small chip on the glass around the rim, the base of the silver candlestick appears to be swirled, and there is a flattened spot around the base that is barely noticeable by sight but can be felt. The other hurricane shows no signs of chipping, or denting, but the glass hurricane has detached from the candlestick and would need to be re-cemented.
This is a beautiful antique set of Fisher Sterling Silver Candlestick holders with Sterling Wax Guard Inserts and Red Glass Hurricanes. The candlestick is marked with the Fisher Silversmith's silver mark of a crown f shield, as well as STERLING WEIGHTED and numbered 828, and features a rope or gadroon design on the bottom and around the top of the candlestick.
The removable insert is labeled sterling and is not weighted. The glass hurricane is etched with a lovely design of grapes and vines.
