Description

On Easter Sunday, March 23, 1913 a deadly tornado devastated the Omaha Nebraska region and its span affected Alliance Nebraska 400 miles northwest causing snow blizzard conditions to drift dramatically!  These two Real Photo Postcards (RPPC’s) document the stalling and rescuing of the huge snow drifts and we’re sent April 9,1913 by the same sender post the event, depicting in the writing the 69 hours of work to tackle these amazing historic snow drifts!
Two (2) Different RARELY-SEEN Uniquely-Composed 1913 REAL PHOTO POSTCARDS (RPPC) of very early views of the ALLIANCE NEBRASKA showing two views of March 1913 Major Snow Storm Blizzard and Drifting Dramatic Event; one Postcard features the Rescue Engines breaking the Drifts (#9221) and the other shows Stalling in the Snow Drifts near Alliance (#9216).

In pre-owned and packed away carefully for decades; see description above.  Both Postmarks read: “Alliance Nebr April 9 1913.”  Both cards with lengthy historic messages were sent to different women at the same Cleveland Ohio address.
